"All Around the Watchtower" is a song from American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan's album John Wesley Harding (1967). The song was written by Dylan and produced by Bob Johnston. The lyrics of the song contain a conversation between a prankster and a thief. The best-known version of the song is Jimi Hendrix's interpretation, who released it 6 months later on the album Electric Ladyland. In 1978 it appeared on the 2nd LP of the band XTC.
