The Knitters - Born to be Wild

In 1968 the Canadian band Steppenwolf released their debut albumOn the album is the hit single Born to be Wild. Born to be Wild is considered the first heavy metal song as these words appear in the lyrics ("I like smoke and lightning, heavy metal thunder"). The cover here is played by The Knitters, a band made up of members of X, The Flesh Eaters and The Red Devils.
