Jeffrey Lewis – Do they owe us a Living?

12 Crass Songs is the fourth album by anti-folk artist Jeffrey Lewis. It was released on October 1, 2007 on Rough Trade Records. The title is literal, as all 12 songs on the album were written and first recorded by the band Crass. The original Crass footage is totally awesome and impossible to make any better, but the content is strong enough to survive that. Moral rebellion songs are great, people all over the world are singing Bob Marley songs and Bob Dylan songs and Woody Guthrie songs and things like that, there's no reason why they shouldn't be singing Crass songs too, according to Lewis.
