"Hot Rails to Hell" is the first single from Blue Öyster Cult's second studio album, Tyranny and Mutation. The lyrics strongly refer to the death of Phil King, a friend of the band from the early days. The cover is by Tesco Vee and White Flag.

Tesco Vee is a punk rock musician and co-founder of Touch and Go Records. He is a former primary school teacher and founder and frontman of punk bands The Meatmen, Tesco Vee's Hate Police, Blight and Dutch Hercules.
