The Feelies - I'm Waiting For The Man

"I'm Waiting for the Man" is a song by the American rock band Velvet Underground. Written by Lou Reed, it was first released on their 1967 debut album, The Velvet Underground & Nico. The lyrics describe a man's attempts to obtain heroin in Harlem.

In October 2018, The Feelies played a special show at Jersey City's White Eagle Hall, where their main set consisted solely of Velvet Underground covers. The Feelies have always slipped a VU cover or two into their live shows, but now they have not just one song, but an entire double LP of covers by their heroes, the Feelies, released in October. The cover is of course also a big nod to the VU classic.
