Clash - Police and Thieves

Police and Thieves was recorded by Junior Marvin at the Black Ark Studio of Lee “Scratch” Perry. In 1976 became an anthem as the Nothing Hill Carnaval ended up in a riot. Joe Strummer and Paul Simonon of The Clash were involved in the riot and inspired them to cover the song.
Junior Marvin was not very happy with the cover. "They have destroyed Jah work!”.
