"Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" is a song by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Written for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the uplifting lyrics describe someone overcoming his problems and worries by realizing that "it won't be long before good fortune comes to greet me."
When the song came out it was met with bad recessions. But when the movie came out, it became a huge hit, selling about 200,000 to 300,000 records a day for about three years.
