Sex Pistols - Roadrunner
The Modern Lovers' Roadrunner is based on The Velvet Underground's Sister Ray. Only two chords are actually used. And then there's the introductory countdown, "one, two, three, four, five, six!"
In 1979 The Sex Pistols released it on the album The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle. Pistols' lead singer Johnny Rotten said that while he "hates all music", "Roadrunner" is his favorite song. However, when recording, he forgets most of the lyrics.
