Summertime is an aria from the opera Porgy and Bess by the American composer George Gershwin on a text by the American writer DuBose Heyward. The song has been covered over 4000 times. The most famous versions are by Billie Holiday and by Ella Fitzgerald together with Louis Armstrong. In 1969 Brainbox records a rock version of the song. Very good in my opinion. But hey, the best rock guitarist (Jan Akkerman) and the best rock voice (Kaz Lux) of the era.
