Who'll Be the Next in Line was first released as the B-side to "Ev'rybody's Gonna Be Happy", a Kinks single released in Britain. Later the song appeared as a bonus track on Kinda Kinks. As an exponent of the French Yé Yé movement, Françoise Hardy had success with the song in 1968. It appeared on the record En Anglais.
