Stephanie McDee was one of the first singers to enter the new southern soul market at the turn of the century with the singles 'Monkey Talk' and 'Call The Police', which inspired an open-hearted, energetic and even brutal music. For The Oblivians, the music was brutal enough to cover "Call the Police."
