Moonage Daydream

"Moonage Daydream" was written during Bowie's US promotional tour in early February 1971. After the tour, Bowie formed a short-lived band, Arnold Corns, named after the Pink Floyd song "Arnold Layne". The band recorded "Moonage Daydream" at the studios of Radio Luxembourg in London. Bowie later hired openly gay clothing designer Freddie Burretti, for whom he wrote the song, to front the group. Although credited as a singer, Burretti did not appear on either recording. The powerful cover is by Zen Guerilla.
