The Magic Mushrooms were an American psychedelic rock band in the 1960s. It's a Happening was their first single. The band name was inspired by a reading by Allen Ginsberg who the band members attended. When A&M records found out the meaning of the band name, the record was withdrawn from the market. The Tex and the Horseheads version is uh, different! Listen for yourself !!
